1082 Stabilized Wood Hand Tip

Stabilized Wood Hand Tip 1082                   length: 11cm                     

 This `fresh` looking tip is made from a maple burr that has been stabilised with a green tinted resin.  An interesting aspect of the stabilizing process is that the resin won`t infiltrate material that is very dense.  It presents, therefore, a graphic representation of the nature of the material itself, with the green areas impregnated with resin and the natural areas showing the densest material.  The cap is a nice piece of Masur Birch sitting against detail of casein ivory and ebony. The tip is nickel silver.
