Large Karelian Birch Bobbin. length: 20.5cm
From a most unusual wood the head, cap and button are from the beautiful Karelian (or Masur) Birch. Until the tree is felled there is no evidence of the extraordinary grain inside. The details are in Casein Ivory (a resin from the milk protein) and a `Briar` coloured polyester resin. The tip is Nickel Silver and the stem is Mopane.
