966 Continental Bobbin (Macassar Ebony)

Continental Bobbin (Macassar Ebony)          length:  16.5cm

Macassar Ebony, named after the Indonesian port of Makassar is a deep chocalate coloured wood.  On inspection it has subtle darker markings in black.  This bobbin is fitted with a nickel silver tip and my signature casein ivory collar (a resin polymer created from milk protein).

NB: The bobbins available have a grain almost identical to the one shown in the image.
